Julie Woodson, President and CEO

Julie Woodson has served as President/CEO of the NCACCT since November 2017.  Previously, she worked with the association as Director of Communications and Special Projects and was named NCACCT’s Executive Vice President in 2014.  A native of Sanford, she is a graduate of The School of Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and worked previously with four other statewide membership associations: The NC Association of Realtors, the NC Pork Council, NC Citizens for Business and Industry (now the NC Chamber) and the NC Association of School Administrators.  Julie has worked for the last 20 years within these membership associations in the areas of communications and legislative advocacy, having served as director of government affairs, director of public affairs and director of political communications.  She is a 2000 graduate of Leadership North Carolina and is a graduate of the NC Education Policy Fellowship Program, the only statewide program of its kind that focuses on leadership and professional development in the context of education policy.

 

 

Caroline Hipple, Director of Communication and Events

Caroline Hipple is the NCACCT Director of Communication and Events.  Previously, she served as NCACCT’s Events Coordinator for two years. Caroline works to create topical and substantive training opportunities at the statewide Seminars and all other NCACCT events.  Additionally, she leads the efforts to develop communication strategies to provide timely and meaningful information to our Community College Trustees and Presidents.  Raised in rural Union County, Caroline attended UNC Chapel Hill and previously worked for eight years with Wake County Government in Human Resources Programs and Employee Benefits.

 

 

Ashley Blizzard, NCACCP/NCACCT Coordinator of Operations

Ashley Blizzard is the Coordinator of Operations for NCACCP and NCACCT.  Ashley coordinates all logistics for NCACCP meetings and trainings and works as an overall liaison between the Community College presidents, president assistants and trustees. Additionally, she works with the NCACCT, the State Board and the System Office to coordinate collaborative activities. Ashley’s history in communications and event planning has included working for the Museum of Life and Science, the NC General Assembly and the NC Pork Council. A double major in Journalism and Communication Studies from UNC Chapel Hill, Ashley is from the small Columbus County town of Fair Bluff.
