Objectives
The
objectives of NCACCT are:
• To stimulate the acquisition and exchange of ideas
and information among trustees.
• To provide opportunities for trustee education and the exchange
of views among trustees.
• To serve as a forum in which community college public policies,
issues and concerns can be
debated.
• To advocate appropriate changes in laws, policies, and rules and
regulations affecting North
Carolina Community Colleges in order to provide adequate resources
and a sound educational
environment.
• To cooperate with national, state and local agencies and organizations
in order to accomplish
the goals of the Association.
• To work with the Governor, General Assembly, State Board of
Community Colleges, North
Carolina Association of Community College Presidents, North Carolina
Community College
Faculty Association and others in advocating legislative action on
behalf of community colleges.
• To provide specialized contractual and others services to local
boards of trustees and other
entities.
